| As far as I know, there are no regulations in the US or Germany about aluminum lagering tanks. There was some talk years ago about a relationship between aluminum and Alzheimer's but I think that was pretty well be debunked. One big advantage to stainless is that you can use caustic cleaners -- making cleaning easier -- but that is less of an issue in a lagering tank than in a primary fermenter (lots more gunk there). |
