Homebrewing

I know some people who do "no sparge" brewing, then add a little more hot water, stir up the mash and lauter again. Sort of party-gyle brewing but they add a little malt extract to the 2nd batch and get two batches for not a whole lot extra time. Sometimes they'll throw in some darker crystal/caramel malt into the second one to add some color. This way if the first batch requires lots of lagering/aging they have a "quick" beer that is ready to drink while they wait :)
