Unlocking Cell Phones Now Illegal in the US |

| A few years ago, J. turned off her mobile before our flight. When we got off, she couldn't remember her code number or, rather, she entered the wrong number 3 times. Result, locked out out phone! We arrived at Bamberg and tried to find a shop to unlock it. After a fruitless trail around all the mobile shops, it was obvious that no one, including 02 her supplier, were willing. Unlike any city or town in Ireland, there were none of those back-street shops selling cheap SIMs and cheap phone calls to far flung regions, so we went the whole holiday without it. I had complained so much about her memory that the first J. did when arriving home was to buy me a mobile! |
