In Bamberg the first restaurant who have focused on the theme cooking with beer was the now closed Mahr's-Bräu Keller ("Bräustübla")(Stephansberg). Some dishes: - salade in a wheatbeer-dressing and rolls with beer marc (Biertreber). - Fish in a smoke beer sausage - Pork in a sausage with Märzen - apple fritters with cinnamon plums an and a sabayon with Malzbier. After Burkhard Michel had to close his restaurant in the year 2010 (the owner plans to build a hotel instead the Bierkeller) Burkhard Michel has helped his friends Manuela and Andreas Gänstaller to develop their kitchen concept in the "Drei Kronen" in Strassgiech.
