Best of Bock?

Hölzlein has brewed their first bock in the last year. The senior has hesitated because he has feared problems with the Bockbieranstich (drunken guests, too crowded brewpub etc.). But on the countryside the Bockbieranstichs are not so crowded as in Bamberg-City. The reactions of the beer drinkers have been good. The Hölzlein Bock was sold out quickly. The "innovation" of a Hölzlein Bock was also a concession to the junior. Johann Hölzlein (last year 21 years old, best brewmaster of this age at the Chamber of Craft for Munich and Upper Bavaria). He has learned at Andreas Gänstaller before he has visited the brewmaster school at the Doemens Institute. He tends to new beers, but the question is if such a small brewery tolerates more than one beer (cannibalism, durability, higher costs). So seasonal beers can be a good solution. The Hölzlein Bock was a success. So they have decided to brew a further pale, bottom fermented bock (similiar to the automn bock). He will be available starting with Ashwednesday (13th February 2013). The Café Abseits will get some cases. We will serve the 2nd Hölzlein Bock in bottles maybe some days after Ashwednesday.
