bamberg brewery pubs new years eve?

People go outside and set fireworks off on Sylvester, the only day in the year (?) that it's legal to do so. A *lot* of fireworks; my neighbourhood here puts all the places I lived in the US on the 4th of July to shame. Sorry to bring up that particular date, hope it's not too much of a sore spot! ;)
