| SNN is a great little airport, no hassle and very quick to get in & out. I've just done a little comparison to show why we invariably travel Ryanair. I just took some random dates (also inluenced by the infrequency of the ORK-MUC flights); depart Ireland 12/12/12; return 19/12/12. The return cost for 2 people via ORK is €307.96; via DUB-MMN, €119.96. Speaks for itself. But also, the ORK flight leaves at 0700, not so great when you are coming from west Clare, while the DUB flight leaves at 0925 (we have friends in DUB, so an overnight is no problem). The return flight leaves MUC at 10.30, which means that we would have to overnight there, not something I would willingly choose to do. I haven't counted in the add-ons but they are much of a muchness if you take only back packs. Also, the fares in Bayern are the same because of the Laende card. Also, even with the slight inconvenience of the strange bus timetable, MMN is a much nicer airport to fly into than MUC So, looks like the charming Mr. O'Leary will have the pleasure of our business for a little time to come! |
