Abbreviating URLs

Go to a site like http://bit.ly or http://tinyurl.com or similar. Paste your long URL into the conveniently provided text box and submit it. You will get the shortened URL, which you can copy and paste. The URL is not persistent; it will expire eventually, but for the purposes of discussion here, it will do.
