Suffice to say the Teletext system is like a sort of text--based www, whereas closed-captioning is just One single, simplified page of that www. Or look at the flippin' Wiki! Haven't bought a US TV in probably 16 years. Don't remember any facility for c-c on them, but then I might not have paid attention anyway.
