And, of course, not forgetting our ever-dependable Ryanair. In spite of all the anti-Michael O'Leary propoganda (much of which stems from the pathetic opposition), by far the cheapest and most efficient way of travelling around Europe, though it may not be much help in this case. Our current return tickets, for two people, Dublin-Memmingen-Dublin, €126 return. Of course, you have to factor in travel from Memm to Franken, but the Bayern tikt is wonderful - €26 for 2 of us and that includes all local travel (except MMN flug to ZOB), so you can stop off en route, do what you like!
