Eschawo and elsewhere - trip report

I think we are in agreement here, Jan. There is quite a difference between the zoigl of Neuhaus and that of Eschawo. Also, there is quite a discernible difference between the different stube. As you say, W-stube is quite different from the Kommunbrauhaus beers and much less impressive to my taste. I understand that Robert Sperber brews for Weisser Schwann (among others). Käck'n is probably my favourite in Neuhaus but definitely the best zoigl I have tasted was brewed by the 'homebrewers'. Funny about Posterer, everyone says it's too gassy but it continues in this way. Roud'n perhaps suffers from having an owner who drinks only red wine! Seriously, we were once in Roud'n on the occasion of switching from the end of one brew to a new one and the difference was considerable. Perhaps you had an old brew?
