Berliner Biermeile Musings

Had originally planned to go there this year and then on to the Oberpfalz and Franconia. Instead it will be a short stop for Ebbelwoi, then Zoigl (10 days in Eschawo) and finally to Franken. I'm finishing at the Bad Staffelsteiner Brauereifest (august 15th). Have been to Berlin for the festival 3 times now. Can be nice, but you really have to look for the more interesting beers in a sea of Pils, Schwarzbier and maybe Weizens. My advice is to go during the day and visit a few of the Hausbrauereien for dinner. Also, be sure to include Potsdam.
