You'll have a lot of fun, I see! There are at least four great pubs in Portree. Talisker's a great dram, but not amongst my favourites. Mine are Glenkinchie, Edradour, Blair Atholl, Balblair, Glen Garioch, Tomintoul. That kind of stuff. Very malty, not overwhelming sherryish nor lots of bourbon. Some smoke in the background. Ach well, there are so many great whiskies in Scotland. Glen Ord is great, too. I've been to this distillery at Muir of Ord twice. Always a nice visit. My last really great discovery was a new expression of Bruichladdich, called "Bruichladdich Waves". You can nearly see the seaweed and feel the rocks underneath your bum, as you sit on a windswept Islay shore... ;-)
