Bamberg trip highs and some lows.

Thanks Dave, really nice report. Agree with most comments about different places. I suppose reaction to different beers is pretty personal but I also fund the Klosterbrau beers very bland, in spite of the range available. I've gradually graduated to the various Schwemm as the best place to drink in Bamberg. You're not bothered by rude staff (i.e. Mahrs and sometimes Schlenkerla), you can drink what you want and when you want and don't have to wait ages (sometimes) to pay; finally, for a veggie, you don't have to sit and watch people devour great gollops of meat! I find the Schwemm in Schlenkerla quite fascinating and most often habited by locals, with whom we've had some good conversations. Also got friendly with one guy on the Ausschank. But, of course, in some places, being in the Schwemm is weather dependent.
