Hmmm...a murky Mahr's beer. Colo(u)r me unexcited. Then again, maybe some ale fruitiness would lend some needed character to the beer. My homebrewed top-fermented beer --for which I do no water treatment, nor finings, nor anything to make it clear-- drops fairly bright after 4 weeks or so in the bottle at cellar temperatures. If a large, modern, award-winning, world-renown lager brewery can't get their beer clear after *cold* lagering, why the heck should I bother?
