Frohe Weihnachten...Feiertage!

Wow, first land crossing of an international border!!! Put together a Christmas time brew today, roughly based on Mark and Nick's thoughts. Used a Muntons IPA malt extract, 1 kilo of Coopers brew enhancer and a half kilo of Muntons extra light spray malt. In dference to a suggestion from Nick, I've used a Danstar Nottingham yeast (rather than the one supplied) and chucked in 55 gms of vacuum packed Northern Challenger hops! OG was 1042. This is my first attempt at a customised brew, so be interesting to see how it works out. The Brupack Yorkshire bitter is promising. Took a long time to ferment out but bottled on Thursday. Will drink some with our veggie Indian meal tomorrow. Visited Homebrew West on Monday (local supplier) and was terribly tempted by a pack of Woodford Wherry, which I loved on draught (cask-conditioned, of course!), when tried in Ely. Couldn't resist, so I bought! After this little lot, going to try to make zoigl! Any suggestions? As you can, I've got the bug!
