Aufsess area recommendations

I haven't decided yet. I have to rent a car anyhow so my plan was to get from hotel to hotel via car. Park it and walk the rest of the day. But I may rent a bike as well to increase my range. Lucky you. It's cold here in New England for the next few days with some snow tonight.
