I do not know for sure, but it might be possible to buy an Egronet ticket beforehand in Bamberg from the touch-screen ticket vending machines. You'll find it under Länder-tickets, then Bayern-Angebote, or Bayern-offers in English, or something like that. Go ahead and have a look. But a combination of a ticket Bamberg-Bad Staffelstein plus Egronet is only useful if you plan to travel outside Bayern, i.e. to south-east Saxony or maybe the Karlovy Vary region in the Czech Republic, otherwise a Bayern ticket is a better choice.
