OT: NRW beer tourist destinations

It's not really a beer destination, but Wuppertal is an easy trip from D-dorf. You can ride the Schwebebahn -- monorail suspended over the river ("Einmal in Leben durch Wuppertal schweben...") to the Wuppertaler Brauhaus. There beer is OK, but place is worth seeing -- its on an old, huge, indoor swimming pool. Also not far from D-dorf is Krefeld: a small brewery "Gleumes" and a great pub "Dachbau" with 18 taps and an interesting selection. A bit farther afield is Venlo, just across the Dutch boarder. There is a pub there De Roeëje Lieuw that only serves beer from Limburg provinces -- whether Dutch or Belgian. But I usually have so much fun in Düsseldorf I forget to travel :)
