Ebermannstadt visit report

I spent a day stuck in Ebermannstadt in torrential rain. So I had a good chance to visit all the local watering holes: Schwannenbrau. The beer was rubbish, IMHO. More of a tourist restaurant than a brewery tap. Herbst Sonnenbrau. The best of the two breweries. The export helles is a good session beer. They also serve Schlenkerla on tap. Hotel Resengörg. Next door to Schwannenbrau. They have Hetzi and Gunsendorfer pils on draught. Hotel Post. Monchshof beers on tap. Bierbrunnen. A great little kneipe just behind Sonnenbrau. Serves Meister and Krug on draught. See www.bierbrunnen-ritsch.de Gasthaus Eisenbahn. Next to the station. Full of the local heavy drinkers. Good pint of St Georgen. Ebermannstadt is a good base if you are exploring the Frankisch Schweiz. Mike
