If You like a beautiful guest house (bed & breakfast) with great atmosphere (memorial), there is the new "Hölle 12" (hell nr. 12) www.hoelle-12.de more in the south of the old city. http://www.google.de/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=de&q=G%C3%A4stehaus+H%C3%B6lle+12,+Alter+Graben+8,+Bamberg&vps=1&jsv=175c&sll=49.888669,10.884393&sspn=0.006885,0.013797&ie=UTF8&ei=dhqpStnbCZOwsAbLna2PBQ&cd=1&usq=G%C3%A4stehaus+H%C3%B6lle+12,&geocode=Fbo2-QIdUiKmAA&cid=11774583078816512307&li=lmd The price is 39 Euro for the single room and 49 to 60 Euro for the double rooms. Prices without breakfast. You can book breakfast (6 to 10 Euro). But in the city there are many coffeehouses with cheap breakfast. They have an other guest house ("Alter Graben"), but for groups only. You must book the hole house. http://www.alter-graben.de/ The price is 109 Euro for 5 guestes (together), 75 Euro for 2 guests, 89 Euro for 3 guests and 99 Euro for 4 guests. Both are memorials but new renewed (beautiful, expensive). 2008 "Alter Graben" has won an award for this renovation. Take a look at the images on their websites. The location is not far from the Dome, but You have to go 300 meters upward the hill Stephansberg (between Klosterbräu und Greifenklau). The problem is, that both are booked up long before. The owners are two acquaintances of me. Nick Schünemann is a regular of my pub "Cafe Abseits". His wife manages both guest houses.
