Nueremberg: outside the town centre

I was most recently in Gräfenberg a few weeks ago for the annual (or every five years?) mediaeval fest, and yes, it's a beautiful town. If one's on the way there by train, then a stop off at Weißenohe is recommended, but don't expect *too* much from the beer IMO. If you find something interesting in the NOBahnhof part of town, please post about it, since I often bike to and from work that way. I did visit Salon Regina --where the tiny, new Schanzenbräu brewery's 2 beers are on offer-- a few months ago. The beers are nice enough, if nothing spectacular, and maybe they'll even improve in time. And I see they've also got their own pub: http://www.schanzenbraeu.de/Seiten/Schankwirtschaft.html, which indicates, amazingly, that they also offer kriek and geueze! Salon Regina may turn into some sort of smoking café though, as the place is very small, and the owner was interviewed in the paper about the change to the Rauchverbot a month or so ago. She said she wanted to do some sort of splitting the opening hours between being smoke-free and smoking, but I believe that's illegal now, so I don't know.
