Brauerei Greif & Brauerei Hebendanz?

Remind us again please, what was unique about the beer there? FWIW, I had a Seidla of the regular Greif Hell up at the Keller last week, from a little gravity keg. Nice condition, but there was a waxy off-flavour that made it nearly undrinkable.
