So you are saying that usually "Bayerische Anstich" beers are filtered before being put in the barrel? Hmm. I thought I recalled having some "U" beers from barrel that were cloudy/hazy from yeast. You are a lucky man to be drinking that beer. (Are you at Cafe Abseits typing?)
