Das Wetter, etc.

I've had http://www.wetter.com/wetter_aktuell/wettervorhersage/7_tagesvorhersage/?id=DE0000772 bookmarked for years; it seems quite reliable, and I've grown used to the format. (Actually I bookmark the Erlangen page!) Also bookmarked is http://wetter.t-online.de/radar.php, a nice, big, fast radar image for the whole country. Where's Bamberg? In red on this version: http://i43.tinypic.com/29x6hir.jpg (Landkreis Forchheim is yellow.) The Wetterochs ("weather ox") page is pretty limited to German readers, as it's a text description only in German, right? I wouldn't rely on babblefishing it. It LOOKS LIKE today might be the best day between now and Tuesday. I'm terribly overdue for a Roppelt's Keller visit; it's been nearly two weeks! As I didn't get there for a nice birthday Schäufela last weekend, I want to try to do so today. He's building a new pavillion for bad weather; maybe it is already finished, so if it rains today... The weather is probably going to be wechselhaft or variable though. Be prepared for showers. And be conscious of drinking and driving, especially around Forchheim and Hallerndorf, with the hordes of bicycles on the road (my wife and I included)--you may only pass a cyclist if you can give him at least a meter's clearance on his left. North American drivers may not be aware of this. (Apologies to the non-North Americans here.)
