New Ulm or Neu Ulm?

I didn't know much about beer when I lived in Minnesconsin (until 1993); only in the last year or two before I moved to OR did I start to learn anything. But the mention of Cold Springs brings to mind "bloody" tasting beer--rusty. The water in MN tends to be hard and full of all kinds of stuff, and I always imagined that Cold Springs tasted of iron as a result. Schell, OTOH, brews (or brewed, anyway, it's more than a decade since I've had any) quite impressive lagers. Considering the water, at least. I wouldn't mind comparing some of their beers http://www.schellsbrewery.com/ourbeers.php with some fränkischen counterparts, actually. Eh, who'm I kidding--if I'm getting any MN beer, it's going to be Summit PA!
