Special events April/May?

No idea about that, sorry, but there's one really important thing going on in May (and only in May): Brauerei Sauer of Rossdorf am Forst brews Braunbier (brown beer). They're doing only one brew, which is available at the brewery pub and the brewery Keller. It'll be gone by the first days of June. That stuff is really extraordinary. Absolutely perfect brown coloured beer with a nutty aroma. Try this, it's surely one of the best beers ever brewed, I'm not kidding! Jürgen
