Train Schedules in Franconia

First of all, a happy new year to everyone! I've been studying the 2009 Deutsche Bahn train schedules. The following will be of interest to Bamberg/Franconia visitors: - Würzburg - Bamberg vv: a fast train (RE) every hour, stopping only in Schweinfurt Hbf (Main station) and Hassfurt. Connections in Würzburg can still be very short, i.e. 5 minutes including a change of platform !!! The fast trains continue to/from Nürnberg or Hof/Bayreuth. [One interesting connection caught my eye: the 9:26 RE (Nürnberg -) Bamberg to Würzburg continues all the way to Frankfurt Hbf.] Local trains (RB) W-B run basically every two hours. - Bamberg - Nürnberg vv: the schedule remains basically the same. However, from august 1st until september 14th, there is NO TRAIN TRAFFIC Bamberg - Forchheim, as Nick already posted. Trains are replaced by buses (SEV - Schienen Ersatz Verkehr).
