Schließfächer, Bus 265, usw.

I happened to take the RE train to Forchheim (arrival 12:15, ergo the train Mike's planning on) yesterday, and biked from there to Stiebarlimbach, sparing my swollen knee the over- and under-hill trip through the woods from Erlangen. There are indeed lockers of two different sizes: 3 large (2€) and 4 small (1€). One of the small ones was being used, but all the others were free. While the large ones may not in fact be QUITE large enough for someone like Jimbo or even Fred to actually *lie down* and take a nap in, they should be more than large enough for any conceivable beergeekbaggage. The train did arrive pünktlich (punctually!), so I was able to test how it might go for Mike's visit. Even if the train's a couple of minutes late, it shouldn't be a problem: The lockers are at the top of the stairs on the way to the buses. The Bahnhofsplatz/ZOB consists of an oval island of bus stops in front of the station. Bus 265's stop ("265 Willersdorf") is on the far side of the island. If it works, here's an excerpt from the DB map of the route from Erlangen - Stiebarlimbach: http://tinyurl.com/forchheimzob The blue line, coincidentally, crosses the "Bahnhofsplatz road" exactly where the 265 stop is. Google's photo is not up to date: http://tinyurl.com/6ejxde It was apparently taken at least several years ago, before the trees and gardens were torn out to build the ZOB. The bus was apparently late yesterday, as a couple of people were still waiting for it as I rode away, but then it passed me later along the way to Pautzfeld.
