Where to stay in Bamberg / Trains

Hi All, Me and the missus are heading to Bamberg in early May (arriving on the 2nd, heading back on the 5th), and we're wondering if anyone has any recommendations for places to stay? We're getting the train up from Nuremberg, and I'm assuming we'll be able to get the train back down on the 5th. I've no idea if it's a holiday in Germany, as it is in the UK. Any suggestions and help gratefully received! Thanks
