Nope, no idea. Of course "Brüder" is "brothers". Don't know what "Hackel" means though. Yes, the Gaststätte is simply superb: Old enough, charming enough, and yet clean and modern enough (modern toilets anyway). Haven't eaten anything warm there yet though--will rectify this hopefully some lunchtime next week or so.
