| A few remarks on Jeremy's tips: Bayern-tickets will cost you only 25 if you buy them at Deutsche Bahn ticket-vending machines or via the internet; there is also a one-person version for 18 (or 20). The tourist ticket (Bamberg card) is valid 48 hours, can also be bought at the train station and at the central bus station (ZOB); it also includes a city tour, a local newspaper and several reductions. There is also a 48 hr bus (only) ticket for 6.60, for one during the week but for a whole family (max 5) at weekends. Do try a Kloss for yourself, they could be to your liking! Oh, and it is Wiener Schnitzel (with chips the ideal refuge for people who are afraid of trying something new.......). As for the rest, I've enjoyed reading this report. |
