Bamberg for kids?

There's also an antique steam locomotive train which runs on Sundays from Ebermannstadt up the valley a ways--packed with families in nice weather. IIRC, you could take it up to one of the villages with a huge swimming facility, and then back to Ebermannstadt later. http://www.dfs.ebermannstadt.de/ Again, not in Bamberg, rather in the Franconian Switzerland.
