Legal age for drinking beer in Franken ?

I'm not real sure on this, but I think its 16 to order on your own. No limit if you are with your parents (at least in the "old days"). I've heard stories from locals about having a "kinderbier" at Schlenkerla when young and eating with their parents. First it was cut a bit with water, but later graduating to undiluted (but small) glasses. No wonder they are so passionate about their local beer if they start drinking it at age 6! Since Schlenkerla doesn't sell small sizes any more, I don't think thats now possible. One of the locals can answer better about the current situation in other places.
