Bamberg here we come!

From a tourist point of view, of course Bamberg itself. Pottenstein and Ebermannstadt are also quite interesting for tourist purposes (as well as many more places in the Fränkische Schweiz - "Franconian Switzerland", see http://www.fraenkische-schweiz.com/). If you are into trains, a trip on a vintage train (Dampfverein Fränkische Schweiz, Ebermannstadt-Behringersmühle) might be worthwhile. I think I already mentioned Vierzehnheiligen (monastic church by Balthazar Neumann), but there is another Bathasar Neumann basilica in Gossweinstein. Schloss Seehof (between Bamberg and Memmelsdorf) could be interesting. What sort of transport are you considering? Public transport/rent a car/Rent bikes? This might affect the possibilities. Jos
