Luitpold Bridge out in Bamberg

Maybe this was posted earlier, and I missed it. The Luitpold Bridge in Bamberg (connecting Luitpold Str. from the Bahnhof to the town center) is completed destroyed and out of service. Apperently they began rebuilding last Feb. or Jan. and the entire project will require 2 years. So, it is out until perhaps Jan. 2007. This does not affect you so much if you are walking (because you can use the footbridge a little downstream), but it really messes up car and bus traffic. Cheers, Jimbo
