OT: COVID Restrictions in the Netherlands |
Posted by Uncle Jimbo on 2021-09-14 15:12:57 |
I was looking at some flights to Europe for the next month or two, and when I looked at flights to Amsterdam (I fly into there sometimes and then use trains to get to Belgium and then Germany), I was guided to a Netherlands government website where I was suprised to find that as of now, Americans arriving in Amsterdam, even fully vaccinated Americans, must quarantine (10 days quarantine, though if you get a negative test after 5 days, you might only have to quarantine for 5 days). It seems the quarantine is waived if you are only staying in the Netherlands less than 12 hours, so perhaps it would be OK if I were to fly to AMS and immediately travel by train to Belgium. Any idea if Germany will follow suit and requre this for Americans? https://www.government.nl/topics/coronavirus-covid-19/visiting-the-netherlands-from-abroad/self-quarantine/mandatory-quarantine |
