Mahrs-Bräu to boycott returnable crates system

Schlenkerla is using karton boxes for the majority of non-local sales besides a few chains retailers.
The boxes are easily strong enough for 20x 50cl bottles and keeping in mind that I've also taken crates from breweries with the intent to return them within a few weeks, only to find them a year later still sitting in the house - fair enough. The Schlenkerla karton is actually strong enough to be reusable.

And again - I do know of multiple Franconian brewers who are loosing quite some money every year on crates. Production is often around euro 7,50 per crate, while deposit is commonly less.
