| That's it, it was nice and anything, absolutely anything in the stout/porter world is better than the abominable G. There's some really nice stouts/porters coming out from nicros in the UK now, including the porter at the Cloak. I'm turning more and more to them as a refuge from the over-citrussy hopped so-called IPAs and their like that are coming to monopolise so many places in the UK. Each to their own but's let's have a bit of variety; not everyone wants to drink US-style beers (I may be being unfair, as my experience of the latter is limited in the extreme). |
