| I have heard from a couple of brewers that real ale drinkers are very price sensitive and its difficult to make much money just selling cask to pubs. Stick it in a keg and a hipster will pay a pound more for it. Brew a raspberry ripple IPA and same hipster will pay 3 quid more. And yes, the brewers would lose money selling to Wetherspoons. Nice to know the peas are still on sale, must be 30 years since I was there! |
