I might tempt myself into trying Mahrs again, just for old times sake. Would have loved to have been at Tag on Saturday but circumstances meant that my spring holiday in Franken is a month late this year. Mind you, looking at the weather, it's a blessing in disguise. I wonder how they did it at the Tag - was it casks filled from the lagering tank (as I assume that it used to be)? Was it a bit murky and yeasty like it used to be? How do they do it now in kegs? Do they fill them from the lagering tank and then dispense through the taps using CO? Is there a tap in the Auschank (or Ausschank?) now? I thought that Grigor said that the tank was outside in the building that they for beer dispensing in the summer but I could be wrong. |
