Why Hungarian oak, of all oak, I wonder?

Ah, one good abomination we used to have in Orygun was blackberry porter from one particular brewery way down in the south of the state, that closed long ago. And also raspberry stout at McMenamins in March...for St. Patrick's Day, I think. Those combinations go well together.
