Yes, very close. Too close. Could feel it yesters after leaving Geisfeld. I shall revert back to my previous limit of 1 Seidla and a Schnitt. I operated under a ZERO TOLERANCE mode for a decade here, when I simply didn't drive at all after having anything to drink. That was very different to my mode of operation in Oregon though, where I sometimes drank like a fish and drove. One online calculator that takes duration of consumption and stomach fullness (had a good, late lunch before heading out yesterday) into effect suggests I would've been at 0.035% 0.35 promille when we left Geisfeld. Even that would be over the limit and seen me prosecuted for drink-driving if I had been in an accident or even commited a traffic infringement, according to the law here (which I don't know if many people know about: the limit drops from .05% to .03% if you demonstrate "impaired" driving like being in an accident (regardless of fault) or, say, not realising which sort of traffic circle/roundabout right of way you happen to have driven into). So, yes. I didn't know that about the physical exertion -- where's that from then? Mind you, I'd already done a very strenuous session in the gym before lunch. |
