I must say the links to Zoigl are tenuous at best. Zoigl isn't about allowing other people to brew at a commercial facility. But that's a debate that's been run before. Sounds more like a Munich type beer hall replica (though at 270 capacity, in miniature). I also find it odd that one would go to all the effort of making such a German inspired pub and brew a load of non German styles or worse, Americanizing German styles. If I was in Portland I think I'd be looking for proper German style beers with German hops and long lagering... That would be something different. Something to to talk about tomorrow Barry - in a proper 'Zoigl haus'. |
