Michael James about the Seinsheimer Kellerbräu

Not sure who you think is sensationalising this brewery, sounded to me more like someone being really excited about finding something a bit different (bit like I felt when I first 'discovered' Escawo). But, yes, there is both a high degree of romanticism and a little bit of fun in my response.  Aren't most of us on the forum romantics at heart - let's face it, who else would spend a fortune flying halfway around the world (especially applies to our US friends) just to drink beer? And as for moving to another country....

Anyway, those who have drunk the beer seem to think that it's actually quite good and, personally, I like the idea of a couple of guys running such a low key set up, presumably, as a part-time affair? I wonder also whether their method of selling is connected with their location in a largely wine producing area? After all, it is more normal practice to buy to take away from a winery than to consume on the premises - this seems to be a fairly normal distinction between beer and wine drinking practice.

Of course. It would be lovely to sit in a local pub and sample this beer and maybe this will come?  I don't know how long they've been in business but it maybe a future development.  Nevertheless, I would like the opportunity to visit this fairly unique little place - perhaps, somehow, we might manage a joint visit?

Just back to zoigl for a second: yes, it is in part the aura that surrounds the concept that is part of the allure but, also, at its best, the beer is quite good and you can see where and how it is made.
