I used to think about doing just exactly that, but never got into it. I think it was before I started doing my "Sprachtrainer" work. Also, people at my school telling me how disagreeable translating work is, more along the lines of documentation and what-not, as opposed to the kind of thing you're talking about here. Or, at least, disagreeable-sounding to me: sitting at a computer and writing about stuff you really have no interest in for hours, for not great money.
