| You've got to be tough to live in the UK, Nick! Also surprised about air quality - I didn't think that anywhere in the UK was particularly worse than anywhere in the rest of Europe. In the days when UK was pumping out masses of CO2 from coal-fired power station, the pollution found its way to Scandinavia, carried by the prevailing west-south-winds. This caused a lot of problems in Sweden. There are still a few coal fired power station but these are being gradually phased out, to be replaced by? Goodness knows, probably nuclear, funded by China. |
