| Had a quick look - it seems a good method but, really, my project is not so much about improving my language skills but in learning more about Eschawo & Zoigl, with the peripheral benefit of improving my German. If either book had been in English, I would have bought that version. However, I think that it is helping though how much is difficult to quantify. Sadly, I know that I will never be proficient in the language (it's to hard, I'm too old!). It's incredible how kids pick up languages while older people find it hard - it's to do with the way that the brain works. I think that it would be good to start children learning several languages at the earliest possible age (? 2/3/4?), when their brains are so receptive. |
