Bamberg on German TV this Week |

| There's a show on a national, commercial TV channel (VOX, naught to do with Fox AFAIK) here that features groups of five relatively normal people cooking dinner for and hosting each other. The guests rate the hosts and at the end of a week of five days, the highest-rated person wins 1500€. It's called "Das perfekte Dinner". I suppose it's based on some Yankish or British TV show, but I don't know, it's been running here nearly as long as I've been living here. And this week, it turns out to be in Bamberg. I missed Mon & Tue, with being out of town, but yesterday's episode was at a home in Litzendorf. The menu wasn't exciting at all, and there was nothing about beer except a mention of how Bamberg is famous for it. And they poked fun at how lovely the Litzendorfer countryside is, and how much there is to see there, with images of forlorn, empty roadways. Those who are able to, might want to watch tonight's & tomorrow's episodes live, or all of them online. Tonight's episode features a dog-trainer (IIRC) lady as host. |
