Berlin

This board is mainly for discussions on beers and breweries from Southern Germany. However, if you search previous postings you will find some Berlin info on here. Ratebeer and beeradvocate have some lists of Berlin breweries and pubs. A couple of my favourite brewpubs are Hops and Barley in Friedrichshain (superb beer), and Brahaus Mitte, next to Alexanderplatz. There are a couple of newish brewpubs doing IPA-style hop bombs. If the weather is OK, it's worth getting a tram to Kopenick and Friedrichshagen, next to the lakes in the pleasant eastern suburbs.
